This song has been in a locked box in my heart for almost ten years. While learning a new chord progression my friend Cody Farwell taught me, the entirety of the song that became "Blanket" came out in one go. I recorded it right then into my Voice Memos, and recorded this "studio" version soon after.

I hope this song brings you comfort in this time of collective shock and loss. Grief is not linear -- you don't just shut it off, complete the process, and wake up one day all better. For me, it's cyclical, residual, and familiar.
